A Keys Per Second (KPS) test measures exactly how fast you can press keys on your keyboard. While average users type between 2 to 4 KPS during normal sentence writing, competitive gamers and esports players can burst up to 15-20 KPS in rhythmic or intense gaming scenarios.

How is KPS calculated?
Our KPS counter utilizes a real-time sliding time-window algorithm. In Classic Mode, it averages your inputs over the last 15 keystrokes to give an accurate, jitter-free reading of your current tapping velocity. In Time Attack Mode, it accurately tracks every millisecond to give you your peak and average burst speeds over a predefined duration.
